You are cruising in Brasil and need help?
When we travel around, things are much easier when we have help of the local people. That is why we want to help you out if you are sailing or preparing yourself to sail in Brazil.
Brazil have a beautiful coastline with hundreds of anchorages. The climate is very friendly as we don't have here storm force winds or strong currents.
The Brazilian Navy charts are quite accurate. They can be found in the Capitania dos Portos office and in boat shops, and you can also find them for download in raster format at the Navy's website www.mar.mil.br/dhn/chm/meteo/indexing.htm
At the navy website you will also find a lot of useful information including warnings, weather analyses, forecasts and synoptic charts.
We will be adding new tips and links in this page as often as our other tasks (like repairing the boat or making a barbecue at the beach) let us.
We will be very happy to help you, and in any case it will be a pleasure to have you aboard for a coffee.
