Our small Live on board family consists of Fabio, Cecilia and Igor, we are a young, friendly family unit, eager to travel, meet new people and open our home to you and your family.
Water-living is our choice, where we have found colourful harmony between our individual needs, family engagement and the extraordinary nature that surrounds us.
In December 2003, after launching Plankton in São Paulo, Fabio, a lawyer, exchanged his suit and tie for a life of water-living and quality of life. The option of living aboard proved to be right: better life value, close to nature and always making new friends.
In May 2005, Cecilia rented the boat for a charter, and anchored near Cotia island they fell in love. On August 2006 Cecilia quitted her profession as a Nutritionist in São Paulo, and moved to Planckton. Life just got better: new trips, paradisiacal places, and life-size plans for the future.
But the best was yet to come.
In September, 2007, after a very quiet pregnancy on board, Igor our son was born, the youngest crewman. Since then Planckton became the shelter for our family.
A seemingly unconventional family, who choose a life at sea, but at the same time, a family like any other, united by love, affection and mutual respect, working to live in a world increasingly better.
Living aboard a sail boat and travelling is an option for a alternative lifestyle. One leaves behind many of the luxuries, comforts and amenities of major urban centres, and straightening the contact with nature. It makes life simpler. Ones needs, in general, more basic.
The planning and awareness of consumption become present on the day to day, from the energy and water consumption to the supply of foodstuffs and even the consumption of goods in general, all should take into account the storage space, the number of days without possible supply, the number of persons on board, etc.
The awareness of the environment and social interaction becomes more present.
Many people dream of living aboard a sail boat and travel, as something almost unattainable. But we experience this as a real option and realistic, and are willing to share a little of our space, our lives and our experience to bring your dream closer to real life.
